Here are the eight teams that make up the Merrowen Ascension League.
Governance
The League Board is made up of one delegate per sponsoring guild, plus a neutral Commissioner appointed out of Highcourt — the same city that provides Merrowen’s High Tribunal. Highcourt fields no team of its own; its role in Gearball is the one it plays everywhere else in Merrowen, adjudicating rather than competing. Guild delegates argue about sponsorship money and platform specs. The Commissioner’s office argues about the rules. Neither side considers the arrangement especially harmonious, which the League Board treats as evidence it’s working.
