Northward Crown Ridge

NORTHWARD CROWN RIDGE
The Crown ยท Quiet Hill
Overview & Character The Northward Crown Ridge is not a district in any registered sense. It is Gearhaven’s northern boundary โ a geological reserve of wind-scoured rock and unstable ground that the city has never built on, never annexed, and never fully explained. It appears on civic maps as a boundary marker and nothing more. Survey stations and triangulation stones record its presence. Nothing else is officially recorded there.
The Fog & Elevation The Ridge sits above the fog line but catches the wind that the Enclave’s towers redirect. On most mornings it is clear, cold, and quiet in a way that has nothing to do with peace and everything to do with absence. The city drops away sharply on the southern face. Looking north from the Ridge, there is nothing โ which is, depending on your perspective, either the most or least interesting thing about it.
Who Lives & Works Here No one. Officially. Survey crews have worked here at various points in the city’s history, most notably during the reconstruction period. Their findings are held by the Civic Infrastructure Office and not discussed. The Ridge is maintained as a geological reserve and left to the wind.
Notable Locations & Named Streets The Triangulation Stones mark survey positions established during the reconstruction period. The Survey Outpost is a small structure of unclear current use. There is a handhold on the southern rock face, worn smooth in the way that handholds become smooth โ by use, repeated, over a long time. It does not appear on any map. A careful observer with the right kind of attention might notice it. Most do not.
Food, Music & Culture None recorded. The wind is the only sound here. This is either peaceful or unsettling, depending on what you came up here knowing.
